Qualification

I am a Professional Engineer, Japan (Industrial Engineering), a national qualification under the Professional Engineer Act. My specialty is Production, Logistics & Packaging Management: planning, managing and improving production, quality management, logistics including packaging, supply chains and production information systems, from the viewpoints of quality, cost, delivery, environment and safety.

Experience

Centered on production process management, I have worked over a long period across product development, packaging materials, manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, management of contract manufacturers, intellectual property and R&D. I have also set up and run overseas sites and led many projects.

What I Value

Rules and systems that do not work on the shop floor: that gap between design and practice is what I want to close, by listening to the voices of the shop floor. I do not stop at drawings and rules; together we put them into a form that can be operated on site.

• Support Tools and Writing: creating and providing materials, written guides and apps for use on the shop floor, including organizing and sharing practical knowledge on quality and operations
